There has been a lot of talk about what we need to do to make Pedalpalooza better on the Shift Lists.

Here are my 2ยข:

I agree that we need to expand our network.
Here is what I am doing, feel free to help or be inspired, remixed to do better.
Especially the last part, do it better.

I especially dig collaborations. Forgive the name drop, I want to let you all know that there are many people working to make bicycling rad and recognize, inspire passions of fire on this here topic.

Today I found out that a crew from the Bay Area is headed here to Portland. This is the exact energy we need to revive Portland.

Who hasn't seen Stoopid Tall Bike?
http://www.youtube.com/v/uRWmsSxbL_A&rel=1 This ride was lead on by the Los Angelopes.

(This same artist, rider, & videographer Richie Trimble came from the Bay Area in 2010 to Portland and shot an amazing Mini Bike Winter video http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=9715534&server=vimeo.com&fullscreen=1&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=01AAEA . )

Some of that same crew, the Los Angelopes and some of the Midnight Ridazz from the Bay Area are making bike news, we need to collaborate with them, welcome them in our city. This will expand our network. Help them come here: https://www.facebook.com/events/522264191145877/?fref=ts

& if you want to help them throw rides, here is one that I helped push forward, but can only do so much. Feel free to offer help with this ride. It needs soundsystems and most importantly, a warm welcome: http://shift2bikes.org/cal/viewpp2013.php#15-3712 .

I am trying to combine bike culture and band culture in Portland, Oregon. With the help of CrankMyChain!, DJ Rhienna, All The Apparatus and other folks I created a video that mashed up the two cultures:
Bands + Bikes.
http://pedalmashup.blogspot.com/

From there I am hoping to do a Bikes2Bands ride to mashup the two cultures, because personally, I think Portland rocks the socks on bike culture & band culture. Let's peanut butter jelly that down.

Prior to this, I helped remix the Midnight Mystery Ride with my good friend Dan by redefining what it can aspire and inspire to be. By taking a 10 year old ride and remixing new energy into it, I was able to share an older ride with a whole new audience:

Alright, alright, enough about all my own projects. I only wish to inspire passion, fire.

More importantly, I want to collaborate where I can my skillset and ask for help from others.

I am way behind on creating a video for bikemove and would love to keep making bike culture videos. Either shooting or editing. If you are interested in helping shoot bicycle music videos or edit them, let me know. If you are in a band and want more exposure from bicycle culture let me know.

This is what I can do to help.

I will end with the previous questions from this thread:

What are some communities each of us might have relations with who don't typically get involved with bicycling or bike fun? How could we loop them in to the dialogue and encourage them to get riding and putting on their own events? How can we make bike fun endeavors more accessible and visible to the community at large?

ride on.

Was bombing down the forest trail to the right of the soccerfield (Heavenly Bumps) And Sped past this blue road bike that looked pretty expensive, it looked pretty parted out with 1 really nice white wall tire. I was going to grab it and store it till claimed but the the cop situation at the bottom of the trail was nuts and they aren't really going to believe i just "found it" there. So i did not grab it. If you or anyone you know has had there Blue Road bike with what now has no pedels and 1 white wall back tire. It is on the trail to the right of Heavenly bumps Soccerfield. Walk down the dirt road on the right of the field just before the end of the never ending left and keep going till you see a dirft path on your left going downhill. take the left down the dirt path and the bike (whats left of it) should be at the bottom of the path leaning up next to a log.

Hope this Helped and Hope it's still there.
